Version 2 of dscobol website

A new version of the dscobol.github.io website.

The new Landing page

The new Docs page

I decided to use Hugo and Docsy as the static-site generator and theme.

Major changes to the website:

  • It now has a “landing page”.

  • It now includes this Blog area.

  • Deletions

    • Removed the “Install VM” section.
    • Removed all “if using a VM” comments. Not really necessary.
    • Removed the “Install Basic Dev Env” section.

  • Updates

    • Updated for IBM DB2 LUW v12.1.1.
    • Updated for GnuCOBOL v3.2.

Not included in this version but will be added in near future:

  • Under the old Dev Tools section:

    • Install GixSQL
    • Install DBeaver

  • The PostgreSQL section

  • The Zowe section

There is also a new Tutorial section.

Hopefully, in the future, I will be able to add some useful tutorials.
