Overview
While the original intension of this exercise was to use GnuCOBOL to connect to an IBM-DB2 database, GnuCOBOL can also be used to connect to a PostgreSQL database.
All the installation instructions were created/ran on a Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS GNU/Linux distribution.
The specific version used here was “pop-os_22.04_amd64_intel_53.iso
